Key resources

Need-to-know info
for you

Cultural Respect

  • We are committed to creating a culturally safe and inclusive space for all our patients. We encourage you to share your cultural preferences and practices with us so we can better support your healthcare needs. In particular, we are proud to support our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients through Health Assessments and The Closing the Gap Health Initiative, a key component of Australian health policy. Your culture matters to us, and we strive to provide care that respects and celebrates your identity.

I Need a Medical Certificate

  • A medical certificate is a legal document, and it is important that it reflects accurate and truthful information about your health. For this reason, medical certificates can only be issued after you’ve consulted with your doctor in person. We appreciate your understanding of this policy, as it helps us maintain the highest standards of care and professionalism.

I Am Travelling

  • Planning a trip? Be sure to make an appointment with us at least 6 weeks before your departure. Some destinations may require specific vaccinations, and allowing enough time ensures you’ll be fully protected and ready to enjoy your travels safely.

I Wish to Speak to My Doctor on the Phone

  • If you’d like to speak with your doctor, please leave a message with our reception team, and your doctor will return your call as soon as possible. If your call relates to a medical condition, it may be more appropriate to book an appointment to ensure we can provide the best care for your needs.

My Specialist Referral

  • If you need a specialist referral, please book an appointment with your doctor before your specialist visit. Referrals are required to ensure you receive higher Medicare rebates for your specialist’s services. Keep in mind that Medicare does not allow backdating of referrals, so it’s important to confirm your referral requirements with your specialist before your appointment. We’re here to help make the process as smooth as possible.

I Need My Repeat Script

  • To ensure your safety and the effectiveness of your treatment, it’s important to reassess your medication before issuing repeat prescriptions. Please book an appointment with your doctor before your last repeat runs out, so we can review your condition and confirm the need to continue the same medication and dosage. In exceptional circumstances, we may issue a script without a review, but this is not our usual policy.

Records

  • Our practice uses secure, computer-generated patient records to ensure accuracy and efficiency in your care. All patient information is kept strictly confidential and managed in accordance with Australian privacy laws. You can rest assured that your records are protected by robust security measures and accessed only by authorized personnel.
